Surfboard Industry Hit by 9.0 Quake!

The surfing industry was hit broadside by the news that Clark Foam was shutting its doors after 40 years in the business. Gordon “Grubby” Clark, founder of Clark Foam notified customers by fax on Monday 5th December 2005 that it would cease production citing that local, federal and state authorities were cracking down on his plant’s use of TDI, (Toluene di-isocynate) a chemical listed as being cancer causing in the state of California. Beach Cruiser goes Global!!

A local bicycle manufacturer from Lake Forest California has teamed up with the Huntington Beach Conference and Visitors Bureau to build a beach cruiser that will help promote Huntington Beach as a overnight destination. Wood of Choice

OK, it’s been a while since I’ve updated the Welsh Lovespoon section of this blog but the latest carving has also been a challenge. Not only is it intricate from a carving aspect but fitting it in during my lunch period when things have been hectic has also proved to be a challenge. Day Out With Thomas

This last Sunday, November 20th was the last day to visit Thomas the Tank Engine at the Orange Empire Railway Museum, for us this is the second year that we have taken Jackson our son and for Madeline his sister, this was her first trip. Our pre-set time for the ride was midday so that gave us plenty of time to get from Huntington Beach to Perris a 68.4 mile journey. (Continued)
